Detailed student performance and history are available when in course scope.

Follow the steps below to view a student’s performance in a course:

  1. Navigate to the course and select Students from the course menu.
  2. Use the search bar to find the student by name or email address.
  3. Select the student from the results list to view the Manage Student screen.

There are multiple tabs located below the student information:

  • Overview - Displays a course Activity heatmap, the 3 most recent exam sessions,  and detailed curriculum progress.
  • Performance - Shows performance by topic. This tab is only accessible if the Performance and Study Bank apps are enabled for a course. Typically, open-ended learning courses have these apps enabled, while certifiable courses do not.
  • History - Lists course activities accessed by the student, including quizzes, exams, flashcards, and study bank sessions. Admins can mark individual activities complete from this screen.
  • Test Sessions - Displays all completed quizzes, exams, and study bank sessions by the student chronologically. Click the Review icon next to any activity listed here to see the session details, including the questions, answers, and student responses.
  • Credits - Lists all credits assigned to this user. New credits can be assigned by clicking the Assign Credit button.

Recent Exam Sessions

Admins can quickly see the student's last 3 exams under Recent Exam Sessions, just below the Activity heatmap. Click the Review icon next to any exam to see the session details.

Curriculum Progress

The Curriculum Progress allows admins to see which activities have been completed. From here, admins can manually mark activities complete or incomplete using the checkboxes. Selecting a section checkbox gives the admin the option to mark all activities contained within that section as complete or incomplete.

Drawer Options

Additional admin options are available in the drawer on the right of the screen. These include:

  • Send Message - This tool lets you send a direct message to the student. Replies are displayed in the Notifications widget on the main Admin dashboard after logging in.
  • Community Posts (if the app is enabled for the course) - This section displays course Community posts that the student created, replied to, or commented on.
  • Reporting Displays relevant reporting data, including the reporting date, the organization to which the completion was reported, the status, and the number of hours.
  • Notes - This tool allows admins to leave notes on the student account. Changing an exam score or manually marking an activity complete are 2 examples of when leaving a note might be useful.

Opportunities Target

The Opportunities Target is located in the Study Bank and is a unique feature that helps students quickly identify areas for improvement. This tool is only available when the Study Bank app is enabled. As the student progresses through the course and increases competency in each topic, the corresponding circle on the Opportunities Target will change from red to yellow to green while moving toward the center. The student’s goal is to move all the circles into the center of the target.

Accuracy Score

When the Performance app is enabled, the Study Bank can provide an accuracy score for each topic. Accuracy is calculated using the CERTAIN and UNCERTAIN buttons in the Study Bank. More weight is given to questions that are answered with confidence (Certain). For example, a student who answered most of the questions correctly but was uncertain about their answers would see less movement/change for that topic in the Opportunities Target. The accuracy score reduces the impact of guessing and improves the quality of the study recommendations made by the Opportunities Target.
