Media uploaded to Acadio is stored in the Asset Library and can be accessed at the platform level or within the course scope.
Media types that can be added as an asset include:
- Images
- Videos
- Audio
- Documents
- HTML Snippets
- Links to externally hosted content
Select Content>Assets from the main navigation menu to access all platform assets. To access course assets, select Assets from the course navigation menu.
Assets can be inserted into activities, questions, related resources, flashcards, course landing pages, end-of-course messaging, and more.
Follow the steps below to insert an asset from the Asset Library:
- Click the Asset Library icon in the toolbar.
- Select an asset from the library, or create a new asset.
- New assets can be created from an uploaded file, an externally hosted video, an HTML snippet, or an external URL.
IMPORTANT: Uploads are limited to 100 MB. Acceptable file types include .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .svg, .gif, .webm, .webp, .mp4, .m4v, .wav, .ogg, .flac, .mp3, .pdf, .docx, .doc, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, .vtt, .ppt, .pptx, .svg.
Stock photos
Acadio connects with Unsplash to bring you a library of royalty-free images you can use when designing courses.
Follow the steps below to insert a stock image:
- Navigate to the Asset Library and click the Stock Photos tab.
- Use the search bar to search for a photo.
- Select the photo to view additional options.
- Name the new asset.
- Select the Edit Image icon to resize, crop, colorize, or rotate the image. If you do not need to edit the image, skip this step.
- When finished, click the Save button.
Icons
Add icons to your content using iconify.design's library of over 200,000 open-source icons.
- Navigate to the Asset Library and click the Icons tab.
- Use the search bar to search for an icon.
- Select the icon to view additional options.
- Name the new asset.
- Select the Color Dropper icon to change the icon's color.
- When finished, click the Save button.
