Supplemental materials that should be available to students during an activity or when answering a question can be attached as a Related Resource. Related resources can include documents, links to external websites, videos, or any other media type and are displayed for students just below the toolbar. Links to external websites will open in a new browser tab or window, while other types of media will open in a resizable window.

Follow the steps below to attach a related resource to an activity or question:

  1. Navigate to the course and from the Curriculum, select the activity for which you wish to attach a resource.
  2. Select Related Resources from the tab on the drawer on the right side of the screen. This tab is available when editing activities and questions.

  3. Click Select an Asset.
  4. Select an asset from the asset library to attach as a resource. By default, assets from the course currently being edited will be displayed. Click Show All to view all assets on the platform. Additionally, you use the filters on the right side of the window to narrow down the results.
  5. To add an asset to the library, click the Create New tab. This will present options to upload a file, link to an externally hosted video, insert HTML, or insert a URL.

  6. When finished, click the Save button.

Please note, there is a 100 MB file size limit for uploads. Acceptable file types include .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .svg, .gif, .webm, .webp, .mp4, .m4v, .wav, .ogg, .flac, .mp3, .pdf, .docx, .doc, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, .vtt, .ppt, .pptx, and .svg.
